God is not a fortune teller, and neither are we. He doesn't give us a military grade flashlight to put a spotlight on the moon. He gives us a candle, so we can see the next step we are about to take.
All we can control is what we do with what's in front of us in the present moment.
Who would want to spoil how their life turns out anyway? That just takes all of the fun out of the experience.
